In the next 77 years , the tribes formed villages, then towns, and the population grew. New thoughts arose. Thoughts about learning, discovering, and teaching. People learned new skills from the elders of their villages, and others discovered new skills, materials, and creatures!
One woman even thought of a way to express language without talking. Writing! Writing was a great way to remember something. You could write it down and read it later, or you could have somebody give it to another person, so they could read it without you needing to be there. It was also a way to tell the whole village something without having to tell them in person.
Soon everyone starting to learn this new skill, and it became one of the greatest skills, and most useful skills in the world. Scientists started to record their data on pieces of bark. They then transferred their notes to papyrus paper when it was invented. More skills were brought into the world such as mathematics. People began to learn simple arithmetic, and one man even suggested to build a place where people could learn science, writing, and math. The village called it a school, and soon many children went to school to learn. This was a wonderful era! It was the Era of Progression!
